The MyGo service

Come in and have a chat – we’ll give you the tools for the job.

Our aim is to give you the support and direction to discover suitable career options and understand more about what jobs are out there.

At MyGo we get that you might not necessarily know which job is right for you. We understand the need to experiment, to learn and to develop confidence through trying new things. On the other hand, you might have a strong idea of what you would like to do but just need help landing that dream job.

We also work with local employers who want to foster local talent by bringing job openings directly to the MyGo team, giving you first dibs on some great opportunities right here in the community.

About MyGo

Ready, set, MyGo.

Now is a great time to start something new. MyGo is a pioneering approach to helping the next generation gain employment. We don’t just offer advice and guidance; we offer practical skills development, hands on training and a network of tailored support.

MyGo is the first of its kind, developed with the combined experience of the private, public and charity sector. The MyGo service is run by PeoplePlus, a training and welfare provider with a 30-year track record of helping young unemployed people into sustained work.

MyGo is funded through the Greater Ipswich Youth Guarantee and is part of a youth support network. This wider partnership approach means we can provide a rounded offer of support. We are connected with the New Anglia LEP, JobcentrePlus, local businesses and local councils, who all help develop this unique service.

Connecting local employers with new recruits

At MyGo we work with businesses to fully understand their recruitment needs and the type of skilled staff they are looking for. We then develop tailored training for the jobseekers we work with to make sure they’re the perfect fit.

MyGo on your doorstep

We build aspirations into fulfilling careers. The flexible approach of our team and accessibility of our service is what sets us apart. To push this even further we've launched MyGo satellites in rural and urban centres across Suffolk. Our outreach offer will include the use of innovative tablet apps - bringing the unique MyGo service to those who are unable to travel into our Ipswich centre.
